- HBO has set the premiere dates for the new seasons of both Boardwalk Empire and Treme. The 12-episode third season of Boardwalk Empire will premiere on Sunday, September 16 at 9/8c. The 10-episode third season of Treme will debut a week later on Sunday, September 23 at 10/9c.
- Singer, actress and upcoming The X Factor judge, Demi Lovato, is set to host The 2012 Teen Choice Awards, airing live on Sunday, July 22 on FOX.
- 90210 has tapped singer Carly Rae Jepsen to guest perform during its upcoming fifth season premiere. Jepsen will perform a to-be-determined song off her new album at Adrianna's Las Vegas premiere, which is interrupted when news gets out about Dixon's car accident.
- Supernatural has cast Liane Balaban (Alphas, Covert Affairs) in the role of Sam Winchester's new love interest, Amelia, who is described as "a tragedy-damaged soul that soon reveals herself to be a brave, sweet, smart, sarcastic woman."
- 7th Heaven vet Barry Watson is joining the sixth and final season of Gossip Girl. Watson will play Steven Spence, a young entrepreneur and new love interest for Serena.
- Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch will be voicing a couple of characters on the upcoming 24th season of The Simpsons. Cumberbatch will voice both the British Prime Minister and a snake-like character in an episode titled, "Love Is A Many-Splintered Thing."
