Thursday, May 8 - In what has become a busy last two days for renewals, cancelations and series pickups, The CW - having already ordered The Originals to series for the fall - has also announced the pickups for drama pilots The Tomorrow People, The 100, Star-Crossed (formerly Oxygen) and Reign.
THE 100
From Warner Bros. Television and Alloy Entertainment, the series is set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization. A spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Based on the Alloy books by Kass Morgan. Eliza Taylor, Isaiah Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Marie Avgeropoulos, Paige Turco, Kelly Hu, Christopher Larkin and Thomas McDonnell star. Jason Rothenberg wrote and executive produces with Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo, Bahrat Nalluri and Matt Miller. Nalluri directed the pilot and Miller is showrunner.

Passion and politics threaten the peace and an epic roman ignites between a human girl (Aimee Teegarden) and an alien boy (Matt Lanter) when he and eight others of his kind (The Orion 9) are integrated into a suburban high school 10 years after they and hundreds of others landed on Earth and were immediately consigned to an internment camp where they've been imprisoned ever since.
