Tuesday, June 25 - Pooch Hall (The Game, Ray Donovan) will guest star on an upcoming episode of USA's Necessary Roughness. He will play Blake "The Bronx Blizzard" Bridges, a boxer who seeks help from Dr. Dani (Callie Thorne) after finding it difficult to step into the ring.
Amy Brenneman (Private Practice), Emily Meade (Gimme Shelter) and Jake Robinson (The Carrie Diaries) have joined the cast of the HBO drama pilot The Leftovers starring Justin Theroux. Brenneman will play Laurie Garvey, a woman who leaves behind her police chief husband (Theroux), kids and life to join a mysterious cult. Meade will play Amy, an uninhibited high school student who seemingly takes the apocalypse in stride. Robinson will play the guest starring/recurring role of the guy we all wish we were in high school.
After ordering five additional scripts in April, USA has expanded Psych's eighth (and possibly final) season from 8 episodes to 10. For one of the extra episodes, USA execs picked among the five extra scripts. For the other, the network is letting the fans choose from three episodic storylines. The script for the one that gets the most votes will be produced, with the winning premise getting announced at the Psych Comic-Con panel on July 18.
