Carla Gugino (Political Animals) has joined the cast of FOX's upcoming event series Wayward Pines from Chad Hodge and M. Night Shyamalan. She will play Kate Hewson, a former lover and partner of Secret Service agent Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon), who now resides in the bucolic Wayward Pines. As Ethan furthers his investigation into the town, he rediscovers that the love he once shared with the capable, loyal, fiery, blunt and fearless Kate still simmers just below the surface.

The project focuses on the profession and personal changes Ellen Bell (Silverstone), the uptight Director of Human Resources for a multinational corporation, goes through after suffering a head injury.
Jess Weixler is set to return to CBS' The Good Wife for its upcoming fifth season. Her fan favorite character, Robyn Burdine, appeared in six episodes of the legal drama's fourth season. It is currently unclear how many more episodes she will appear in.

In the September 26 premiere, Joel and Julia (Erika Christensen) invite her over for dinner and she inadvertently makes Julia feel self-conscious about being a stay-at-home mom. Julia views her as a bit of a threat, even though she isn't consciously trying to be.
