Carly Pope (Popular) has booked a recurring role on The CW's new drama series The Tomorrow People. She will play Morgan Burke, who has super powers but has managed to conceal them from the government organization hunting them down thanks to an illicit relationship with a very powerful man.
HBO's new comedy series Getting On, created by Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer, will begin its six episode first season on Sunday, November 24 at 10/9c. The series stars Laurie Metcalf, Alex Borstein, Niecy Nash and Mel Rodriguez. Announced guest stars include Molly Shannon, Daniel Stern, Harry Dean Stanton, June Squibb and Irma P. Hall.
Bunheads star Julia Goldani Telles is the second star from the recently canceled ABC Family series to land a role on a new pilot. Telles joins the cast of the Showtime drama pilot The Affair which includes Dominic West, Maura Tierney, Joshua Jackson and Ruth Wilson. She will play Whitney, Noah (West) and Helen's (Tierney) 16-year-old daughter.
Jean Smart (Designing Women), Lenny Clarke (Rescue Me) and Bill Nunn (Spider-Man) will recur on USA's new comedy series Sirens. Smart will play Johnny's (Michael Mosley) mother. Clarke will play Johnny's father, a former Chicago firefighter who wants to repair his relationship with his son. Nunn will play Cash, an older and wiser but flawed veteran EMT.
After a lengthy search, Starz's upcoming drama series Outlander has finally cast its female lead. Caitriona Balfe (Now You See Me) will play Claire Randall, a woman swept back in time and in love with two different men in two different time periods.
Emily Deschanel's real-life husband David Hornsby (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will guest star on an upcoming episode of FOX's Bones. He will play the priest in the series' upcoming wedding episode.
Lauren Bittner (Paranormal Activity) has landed a recurring role on the third season of The CW's Hart of Dixie. She will play Vivian, a relative of Zoe's (Rachel Bilson).
Steve Kazee (Once) will guest star on an October episode of CBS' Elementary. He will play a man who Joan (Lucy Liu) meets while making her first foray into online dating.
John Oliver - who just wrapped an eight-week gig filling in for Jon Stewart on The Daily Show - will reprise his role as Professor Ian Duncan on the fifth season of NBC's Community. He will appear in at least six episodes of the season.
Kim Raver is in negotiations to reprise her role on FOX's upcoming event series 24: Live Another Day. She played Audrey Raines, Jack's (Kiefer Sutherland) lover from Seasons 4-6 of the original series.
