TV News - Lifetime, A&E & History to Simulcast 'Bonnie & Clyde' in December; Taye Diggs to Romance 'New Girl's Jess; Plus 7 More Updates!

After opening to high numbers on Monday night, FOX's Sleepy Hollow has signed perennial bad guy James Frain (True Blood, Grimm, The White Queen) for a multi-episode guest role. He will play Rutledge, a modern-day nobleman who will interrogate Ichabod (Tom Mison) about his past. But Rutledge is also holding a secret that will effect Ichabod's future.

Private Practice vet Taye Diggs will guest star on an upcoming episode of FOX's New Girl. He will play Artie, a self-assured ladies' man who meets Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Cece (Hannah Simone) at the bar while Nick (Jake Johnson) is out on a guys' night.

Lifetime, A&E and History will unite to simulcast the four-hour, two-night major scripted event Bonnie & Clyde, starring Emile Hirsch and Holliday Grainger in the title roles, on Sunday, December 8 and Monday, December 9 at 9/8c. The star-studded cast also includes Holly Hunter, William Hurt, Sarah Hyland, Lane Garrison, Elizabeth Reaser, Austin Hebert and Dale Dickey. Bonnie & Clyde was written by John Rice and Joe Batteer and directed by Bruce Beresford.

LeVar Burton is returning to NBC's Community for its upcoming fifth season. He previously appeared as himself in a Season 2 episode.

Missi Pyle has been cast on the TV Land comedy pilot Jennifer Falls starring Jaime Pressly. She will play Dina, Jennifer's (Pressly) childhood best friend who is now divorced with a teenage son. She works for a delivery service and is hesitant to resume her old friendship after forgotten about after Jennifer became a big-shot banker. However, the duo still have a lot in common, including a penchant for misbehaving.

Jere Burns has been promoted to series regular for the fifth season of FX's Justified. He has recurred on the drama series for the first four seasons as drug enterpriser Wynn Dufy.

Ruth Negga has booked a recurring role on ABC's new drama series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The arc is her first U.S. TV role but, like all other castings for the series, details are being kept under wraps.

A&E's new drama series Those Who Kill has signed Michael Rispoli (Magic City, The Sopranos) for a multi-episode appearance. Character details were not immediately released.

Danielle Nicolet (The Starter Wife, Family Tools) has landed a recurring role on BET's The Game. She will play Yana, a physical therapist who wants to help Malik (Hosea Chanchez) get back in the game.
