TV News - 'Boardwalk Empire' & 'Bob's Burgers' Earn Renewals; Patton Oswalt to Guest on 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'; Plus 13 More Updates!

Charisma Carpenter will guest star on a November episode of CBS' Blue Bloods. She will play Marianne Romano, a flashy and needy woman who once had a fling with Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) a long time ago and now needs his help after her fiancé assaults her.

Michelle Hurd will appear on FOX's Raising Hope which stars her real-life husband Garret Dillahunt. She will play a sketchy FBI agent in the series upcoming Hitchcock-themed episode.

Smash vet Andy Mientus will recur on ABC Family's upcoming drama series Chasing Life. He will play a character named Jackson and will debut in the series' fifth episode.

Alanna Masterson (First Day) is joining the cast of AMC's The Walking Dead for its fourth season. Details on her role are scarce other than she will be a new survivor in the world of the walking dead. She will join in the middle of the season with an option to become a regular in Season 5.

Deadwood alum Robin Weigert has been cast in a multi-episode arc on NBC's Chicago PD and in a co-starring role in the Showtime comedy pilot Trending Down. She will reprise her role from episode 23 of Chicago Fire for the spinoff series. On Trending Down, she will play Thom's (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) co-worker at the advertising agency.

Annabelle Stephenson (H2O Just Add Water) and Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids) will recur on the third season of ABC's Revenge. Stephenson will play Jenny, a no-nonsense beauty and spitfire who was raised in Long Island but far from Hampton's society and a potential new love interest for Daniel (Josh Bowman). Ortiz will play Bizzy Preston, a confident, fearless public relations specialist who's brought in by Conrad (Henry Czerny) to do damage control for the Graysons.

Nathan Lane (The Good Wife, Modern Family) will co-star opposite Brendan Gleeson on the HBO drama pilot The Money from David Milch. He will play Gordon McCarren, a reporter for VistaCorp's New York Herald whose job hangs by a thread. He hasn't had a byline in weeks, and he's desperate to garner evidence to support a hot scoop.

Emmy winner Loretta Devine (Grey's Anatomy) has landed a multi-episode arc on USA's upcoming comedy series Sirens. She will play Hank's (Kevin Daniels) no-nonsense, church-going mother.

ABC's The Neighbors has cast Reginald VelJohnson (Family Matters) and Meredith Baxter (Family Ties) as Jackie Joyner-Kersee's (Toks Olagundoye) parents. They will appear in the season's Thanksgiving episode.

HBO has renewed Boardwalk Empire for a fifth season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. "Thanks to Terry Winter, Martin Scorsese, Tim Van Patten, Howard Korder and their stellar team, Boardwalk Empire remains in a class by itself," said Lombardo. "I look forward to another electrifying season of this impeccably crafted series."

Titus Welliver (Lost, The Good Wife) has been tapped for the leading role on the Amazon drama pilot Bosch. He will play Harry Bosch, a veteran police homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Steve Talley (Pretty Little Liars) has joined the cast of the FX comedy pilot Death Pact starring Tracy Morgan. He will play Ted Dunbar, a middle-management type at an insurance company, frustrated that he hasn't had a raise in three years or been able to score a date with a pretty co-worker.

FOX has renewed animated comedy Bob's Burgers for a fifth season of 22 episodes ahead of its fourth season premiere this upcoming Sunday. "Bob's Burgers is one of those rare finds that just continues to outdo itself, creatively," said FOX Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly. "The show has become a key member of our Sunday Animation Domination family, and we're looking forward to attracting new fans with another season."

Sherlock star Martin Freeman will star opposite Billy Bob Thornton in FX's upcoming 10-episode miniseries Fargo. He will play Lester Nygaard, a small town insurance salesman henpecked by his wife, whose life is changed when a mysterious stranger, Lorne Malvo (Thorton), comes to town.

Patton Oswalt will guest star on an upcoming episode of FOX's Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He will play Fire Marshal Boone, who butts heads with Jake (Andy Samberg) as he tries to investigate a suspicious fire.
