Andrew Rannells (The New Normal, Girls) will appear on the December 16 episode of CBS' How I Met Your Mother. He will play Darren, a guy at Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin (Cobie Smulders) wedding who intentionally stirs up trouble amongst the gang.

D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye) has been tapped to direct the NBC drama pilot Tin Man from feature writer Ehren Kruger. The project is billed as a psychological crime thriller that focuses on a fugitive robot accused of murder, who may hold the key to the future of human evolution, and the young female public defender forced to fight for his cause.
