ABC's Once Upon a Time; AMC's Turn; BBC America's Intruders; The CW's Reign; and FOX's Cabot College & Gracepoint.
THE CW's REIGN
- Kathryn Prescott - who plays the lead role on MTV's drama pilot Finding Carter which is awaiting a pickup - has landed a major recurring role on the period drama. She will play Penelope, a kitchen servant who wins the annual queen-for-a-day competition. Later, Queen Catherine (Megan Follows) gives Penelope a little job in exchange for better treatment around the castle, and she uses it to get what she wants.
AMC's TURN
- Ian Kahn (Dawson's Creek) is joining the upcoming drama series as a major historical figure. He will play a pre-President George Washington. During the time Turn takes place in, he is a General in the Continental Army. He's described as a smart, self-conscious, self-aware leader who is always striving for self-improvement and perfection. He will recur throughout the first season with an option to become a regular in Season 2.
FOX's GRACEPOINT
- Georgina Rylance is the final series regular actor cast on the upcoming 10-hour event series. She will play Gemma, a flirty woman who owns the town's hotel where Emmett (David Tennant) is staying, and with everything going on in Gracepoint she could be bankrupt by the end of the year.
BBC AMERICA's INTRUDERS
- Mira Sorvino (Psych, Falling Skies) and James Frain (Grimm, Sleepy Hollow) have been cast on the upcoming series starring John Simm. Sorvino will play Amy, Jack's (Simm) wife who goes missing - something that forces him to confront his past. She will actually be playing two characters who share the same body. Frain will play Richard Shepherd, a murderer on a 20-year secret mission who claims to be an FBI agent.
FOX's CABOT COLLEGE
- Drop Dead Diva star Margaret Cho has been cast on the upcoming multi-camera comedy series - which is shooting a pilot but will be going into series production in March. Cho will play Laura Thibault, the president of Cabot College who made the difficult decision to admit men into the school. She's a divisive figure on campus and does her best to be welcoming of the male freshmen but is often irritated by their antics. Her casting reunites her with Cabot College creators Matt Hubbard, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock - whose last series, 30 Rock, earned Cho an Emmy nomination. Additionally, her casting on the comedy won't change her amount of screentime on the upcoming sixth season of Drop Dead Diva.
ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME
- Rose McGowan is returning to the fairytale drama in the 18th episode of its third season - reprising her role of Young Cora which she first played in S2's "The Miller's Daughter." Details on why she'll reappear are being kept under wraps - but she will solely appear in that episode's flashback sequences.
