A day before its first season finale, MTV has renewed its comedy series Faking It for a 10-episode second season, set to debut in 2015.
Created by Carter Covington, Faking It centers on two best friends (Katie Stevens, Rita Volk) who are mistakenly outed as lesbians and catapult to instant popularity at their Texas High School.
The comedy also stars Gregg Sulkin, Michael Willett and Bailey Buntain.
"Faking It has proved to be the perfect companion show to Awkward, retaining nearly 90 percent of its lead in each week," said Susanne Daniels, President of Programming, MTV. "We're excited about Carter Covington's delicious plans for season two."
