HBO's BOARDWALK EMPIRE
- The prestige period drama will return for its fifth and final season - comprised of 8 episodes - on Sunday, September 7 at 9/8c.
CBS' ELEMENTARY
- Ophelia Lovibond (Titanic: Blood and Steel) has joined the drama's upcoming third season in a recurring role. She will play Kitty Winter, Sherlock's (Jonny Lee Miller) new protégé and a rival to her predecessor, Joan (Lucy Liu).
NBC's CONSTANTINE
- Lucy Griffiths (True Blood) has exited the network's drama adaptation of the DC comic Hellblazer due to the show's creators deciding to move in a new direction. Instead of recasting the female lead role, the series will simply leave the pilot as is and introduce new characters to take her place starting in Episode 2 with the introduction of Zed, another female character from the original comic.
SUNDANCETV's THE RED ROAD
- Randall Einhorn (Fargo, Wilfred) has joined the second season of the drama series as an executive producer and director. He will direct four of the six episodes of the upcoming series, which is set to begin production this fall in Atlanta.
ABC's MEMBERS ONLY
- Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People) and Jaime Lee Kirchner (Mercy) have joined the cast of the upcoming drama series (formerly The Club). Mitchell will play Jesse, a new employee at the club who is from the wrong side of town and appears as if he doesn't have it together but does - more than anyone realizes. Kirchner will play Diana, Deacon's (Boris Kodjoe) wife who finally has the stable family she's always wanted - but the club is entirely new territory for her.
THE CW's REIGN
- Craig Parker (Spartacus: War of the Damned) has booked a recurring role on the drama's second season. He will play Narcisse, a brilliant, sexual and fierce new sparring partner for Catherine (Megan Follows). A devout Catholic, Narcisse has a "death grip" on French Court.
SYFY's THE EXPANSE
- Hung alum Thomas Jane has landed the starring role on the upcoming space opera. He will play world-weary Miler, a native of "the Asteroid Belt" between Mars and Jupiter and a detective for a corporate security force operating as the law in the Belt. In search of something even he can't identify, Miller remains a dedicated cop with great instincts who discovers a newfound sense of purpose when he's put in charge of the investigation into a missing heiress.
MTV's AWKWARD, FAKING IT and HAPPYLAND
- The cable network is sitting up a major comedy block this fall - with the second half of Awkward's fourth season and the second season of Faking It set to premiere on Tuesday, September 23 at 10/9c. and 10:30/9:30c. respectively. They will then be joined by new teen dramedy Happyland at 11/10c. starting the following week - Tuesday, September 30.
SHOWTIME's THE AFFAIR
- Josh Stamberg (Drop Dead Diva, Parenthood) has been cast in a recurring role on the upcoming drama series. He will play Max, Noah's (Dominic West) friend from the city currently separated from his wife and on the prowl in Montauk.
DIRECTV's KINGDOM
- Zuleikha Robinson (Lost) and Jai Rodriguez (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) have booked recurring roles on the new drama. Robinson will play Allison, a charming and ruthless woman looking to go into business with Alvey (Frank Grillo). Rodriguez will play Diego, a down-to-earth and even-tempered physical therapist who crosses paths with Nate (Nick Jonas).
