Casting News - 'Galavant' Adds John Stamos as a Dashing Knight; Rich Sommer Returns to 'Elementary'; Plus More Updates!

Casting News - July 31, 2014

ABC's Galavant; CBS' Elementary & Stalker; FOX's Brooklyn Nine-Nine; and Showtime's Homeland.





FOX's BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
  • Jenny Slate (Married, Parks and Recreation) will guest star on the second season premiere of the hit comedy. She will play Bianca, a tough, street-smart mob mistress who may be the help Jake (Andy Samberg) needs to bring the last mobster to justice and close his undercover FBI case.
CBS' STALKER
  • Warren Kole is reuniting with his former Following boss Kevin Williamson for a recurring role on the upcoming drama series. He will play Trent Wilkes, the lead detective in the Robbery Homicide Division of the LAPD who starts a turf war with Jack (Dylan McDermott).
ABC's GALAVANT
  • John Stamos (Full House) will guest star on the upcoming musical comedy as a dashing knight and Galavant's (Joshua Sasse) longtime rival. In the episode, the two will square off once again in a local joust. Stamos is only set to appear in one episode but it may become a recurring role.
CBS' ELEMENTARY
  • Rich Sommer (Mad Men) will reprise his role as Harlan Emple on an upcoming episode of the drama's third season. After previously appearing an early Season 2 episode, Harlan will return to Sherlock's (Jonny Lee Miller) orbit when he finds a dead body during a math-based puzzle hunt.
SHOWTIME's HOMELAND
  • Mark Moses. Nimrat Kaur and Art Malik will appear on the upcoming fourth season of the hit spy drama. Moses will recur as Dennis, an academic teaching political science at Islamabad's Quaid-I-Azam University. Kaur will play a high-level operative within Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence. Malik will play Bunran "Bunny" Latif, a retired Pakistani general and an old friend of Saul's (Mandy Patinkin).
