Amazon's Mad Dogs and Showtime's Billions.
AMAZON's MAD DOGS
- The streaming service has handed out a pilot order to Mad Dogs based on the British series of the same name. The original show's creator Cris Cole will write the adaptation and executive produc alongside The Shield creator Shawn Ryan. Charles McDougall will direct with Sony Pictures Television and Left Bank producing. The project follows the reunion of four 40-something guys who head to Belize to visit their old school friend when things take an unexpected and dark turn.
SHOWTIME's BILLIONS
- During his executive session at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, Showtime president David Nevins confirmed that Gavin O'Connor has signed on to direct the pilot for the prospective series from writers Andrew Ross Sorkin, Brian Koppleman and David Levien.
