NBC Renews 'Undateable' for Season 2

NBC is quietly establishing a solid bench of year-round programming by renewing multi-camera comedy Undateable for a second season, it was announced late tonight. Executive producer Bill Lawrence broke the news over Twitter.

Created by Adam Sztykiel, Undateable focuses on a group of friends in Detroit who all have problems with dating but enjoy spending their time with each other at a local bar.

The comedy from Warner Bros. Television stars Chris D'Elia, Brent Morin, Bianca Kajlich, David Fynn, Rick Glassman and Ron Funches, with Briga Heelan and Eva Amurri Martino as recurring guest stars.

The renewal comes on the heels of NBC ordering new seasons of summer hits America's Got Talent, American Ninja Warrior, Last Comic Standing and The Night Shift in the network's bid to program year-round. Summer series still awaiting news include Taxi Brooklyn, Welcome to Sweden and Working the Engels.
