TNT has renewed three of of its highly-rated summer dramas for additional seasons: The Last Ship for a 13-episode Season 2, up from the 10 episodes of Season 1; Major Crimes for a 15-episode Season 4; and Falling Skies for a 10 episode fifth and final season.
"TNT's refreshed and recharged drama brand is soaring this summer, and that is due in large part to these three enormously popular dramas," said Michael Wright, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). "The Last Ship has become this summer's top drama among key adult demos with its epic scale and visceral storytelling. Major Crimes continues to be one of the most enduring and popular crime-drama franchises on television. And Falling Skies has begun an ambitious and thrilling story arc this summer as it sets the stage for next year's climatic final season."
The Last Ship stars Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra, Adam Baldwin, Travis Van Winkle, Charles Parnell, Christina Elmore, Sam Spruell and Marissa Neitling. Executive producers include series co-creators Hank Steinberg and Steven Kane; filmmakers Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form; and director Jack Bender.
Major Crimes - a spinoff of The Closer - stars Mary McDonnell, G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Phillip P. Keene, Kearran Giovanni, Jonathan Del Arco, Graham Patrick Martin and Robert Gossett. Recurring guests in the current third season include Jon Tenney, Ransford Doherty, Kathe Mazur, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Bill Brochtrup and Tom Berenger. Executive producers are James Duff, Greer Shephard, Michael M. Robin, Rick Wallace, Adam Belanoff and Leo Geter.
Falling Skies stars Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Connor Jessup, Maxim Knight, Colin Cunningham, Seychelle Gabriel, Mpho Koaho, Sarah Carter, Doug Jones and Scarlett Byrne. Executive producers include David Eick, Greg Beeman, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Steven Spielberg.
