Casting News - 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Books Ed Helms; David Hyde Pierce Returns to TV for 'The Good Wife'; Plus 9 More Updates!

ABC's Castle; CBS' Battle Creek, The Good Wife & Scorpion; The CW's Arrow; FOX's Brooklyn Nine-Nine & The Mindy Project; HBO's Looking; Netflix's Marco Polo & Narcos; and TNT's Proof.




HBO's LOOKING
  • Daniel Franzese (Mean Girls) has been cast in a multi-episode arc on the second season of the hit comedy. He will play Eddie, who works in the San Francisco non-profit community.
THE CW's ARROW
  • Rila Fukushima (Wolverine) has been tapped to replace Devon Aoki in the recurring role of Tatsu Yamashiro on the third season of the hit drama. Tatsu is a Japanese martial arts expert who wields a deadly sword, a blade from which her codename Katana is derived. She's also one of Oliver's (Stephen Amell) mentors in the flashbacks and a critical influence on his journey to eventually become The Arrow of present day.
FOX's THE MINDY PROJECT
  • Shonda Rhimes - creator of ABC's Grey's Anatomy and Scandal - will make her acting debut on an upcoming episode of the comedy's third season. She will play a fictionalized version of herself but details about her story are being kept under wraps - like so much of the cast on Rhimes' own series.
ABC's CASTLE
  • Matt Letscher (Scandal, The Carrie Diaries) will guest star on the Season 7 premiere of the hit procedural. He will play Henry Jenkins, a security consultant who aids Beckett (Stana Katic) on a very important case.
NETFLIX's MARCO POLO
  • Netflix will debut the ten episode first season of the new period drama starring Lorenzo Richelmy on Friday, December 12. The cast also includes Benedict Wong, Zhu Zhu, Tom Wu, Remy Hii and Rick Yune.
CBS' THE GOOD WIFE
  • David Hyde Pierce (Frasier) is plotting a major return to TV with a recurring role on the critically-acclaimed drama's sixth season. He will play a highly respected cable news legal commentator who is so disgusted by the corruption and murder rate in Chicago that he decides to run for office in order to affect change.
TNT's PROOF
  • David Sutcliffe has booked a regular role on the upcoming drama series starring Jennifer Beals. He will play Dr. Len Bayliss, Dr. Tyler's (Beals) ex-husband who still works with her at the hospital.
NETFLIX's NARCOS
  • Roberto Urbina has joined the cast of the upcoming drama as a series regular. He will play Fabio Ochoa, one of a trio of Colombian brothers, all playboy drug dealers, who's in the cocaine business with his brothers.
FOX's BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
  • The Office vet Ed Helms will guest star on an upcoming episode of the comedy's second season. He will play an agent working for the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) whom Jake (Andy Samberg) struggles to work with on a case.
CBS' SCORPION
  • Corbin Bernsen (Psych) will appear in an October episode of the new drama series. He will play Bob Connelly, a Las Vegas casino owner who turns to Walter's (Elyes Gabel) team when his profit margins start to shrink.
CBS' BATTLE CREEK
  • Patton Oswalt (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will appear in the sixth episode of the midseason drama series. He will play Scooter Hardy, the unorthodox mayor of Battle Creek, Michigan.
