MTV Renews 'Finding Carter' for Season 2

MTV has renewed hit drama Finding Carter for as 12-episode second season, it was announced today by Susanne Daniels, President of Original Programming, MTV. The new season will debut in 2015.






"The creative minds behind Finding Carter did an exceptional job bringing this story to life and drawing our audience," said Susanne Daniels. "I'm looking forward to another season following Carter on her journey.

Since debuting in early July, Finding Carter has averaged 2.2 million viewers (Live+3 data). It also currently ranks as the No. 1 new cable show among 12-34 year-olds and teens.

Finding Carter tells the story of Carter Stevens (Kathryn Prescott) who unknowingly was kidnapped by the person she believed was her mom when she was three. After getting arrested at party, she is reunited with her biological family while searching for the only real mother she's ever really known.

The drama also stars Cynthia Watros, Alexis Denisof, Anna Jacoby-Heron and Zac Pullam.
