ABC's Modern Family; FOX's Bones; HBO's The Comeback, Getting On & The Newsroom; NBC's The Slap; and Showtime's Shameless.





FOX's BONES
  • Phyllis Logan (Downton Abbey) will guest star in the sixth episode of the drama's upcoming tenth season. She will play Sandra Zins, a wealthy woman whose housekeeper has been murdered and her attempts to help are revealed to be a cover for something much darker.
HBO's THE NEWSROOM, THE COMEBACK and GETTING ON
  • New seasons of all three series will debut on Sunday, November 9. The Newsroom will return for its 6-episode third and final season at 9/8c.; The Comeback will make its highly anticipated return at 10/9c. for its 8-episode second season; and Getting On will begin its 6-episode second season at 10:30/9:30c.
NBC's THE SLAP
  • Zachary Quinto (American Horror Story) and Brian Cox (Nuremberg) have joined the cast of the upcoming miniseries. Quinto will play Harry, a married father with a 15-year-old son who is perennially angry but seemingly pleased with his life. However, he picks on the wrong guy when he slaps the horribly misbehaving child of another couple. Cox will play Manolis, the stern yet magnanimous patriarch of the family with old world values but a good heart.
SHOWTIME's SHAMELESS
  • Rake alum Bojana Novakovic has booked a recurring role on the dramedy's upcoming fifth season. She will play Bianca, a 31-year-old doctor who has just discovered she has stage 4 cancer. Having spent the last ten years of her life focused on med school, internship and residency, she is now angry that she hasn't lived much with the weight of her ambition and familial expectations. Frank (William H. Macy) meets her just after she's discovered her diagnosis and becomes her tour guide for sordid living.
ABC's MODERN FAMILY
  • Jon Polito (Bunheads, Raising the Bar) will recur on the sixth season of the hit comedy. He will play Jay's (Ed O'Neill) ex-business partner and current nemesis in the home closet industry.
