NBC's THE SLAP
- Thandie Newton and Melissa George have joined the all-star cast of the upcoming miniseries. Newton will play Aisha, Hector's (Peter Sarsgaard) wife, a doctor and mother of two children who is often stressed but philosophical. George will play Rosie, Gary's hippy wife and mother to 5-year-old Hugo on whom she lavishes attention and scolds the older children whom she thinks are bullying her son.
TBS' YOUR FAMILY OR MINE
- Ed Begley, Jr. (Arrested Development) and Stephanie Hunt (Californication) have been cast as series regular and Collette Wolfe (Cougar Town) as recurring on the new comedy. Begley, Jr. will play Gil, Kelli's (Kat Foster) father, a psychology professor who thinks his son-in-law Oliver (Kyle Howard) is repressed and diagnoses him with a variety of psychological ailments. Hunt will play Dani, Kelli's youngest sister and the happy-go-lucky wild child of the family. Wolfe will play Shawni, Kelli's other sister who has two children from a previous marriage whose views on raising child clash with Kelli's.
CBS' THE ODD COUPLE
- Recurring guest star Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) has been promoted to series regular status on the midseason comedy starring Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon. She plays Dani, Oscar's (Perry) assistant.
