CBS' THE MENTALIST
- Derek Phillips (Friday Night Lights) and Rob Belushi (How I Met Your Mother) will guest star as two of Lisbon's (Robin Tunney) brothers on an upcoming episode of the hit procedural. Phillips will play Stan Lisbon, a hardworking family man who must choose between his loyalty to family and his pride. Belushi will play Jimmy Lisbon, the smart yet underachieving younger brother who happens to be an enthusiastic gambler.
TNT's PUBLIC MORALS
- Brian Dennehy (Death of a Saleman) and Neal McDonough (Justified) have booked major recurring roles on the upcoming period drama. Dennehy will play Joseph "Big Red" Patton, a powerful mobster who controls the west side of Manhattan. McDonough will play Rusty, Joseph's youngest son who is charming and handsome but ultimately power-hungry and dangerous.
NBC's THE SLAP
- Thomas Sadoski (The Newsroom) has been cast on the upcoming miniseries starring Peter Sarsgaard. He will play Gary, husband to Rosie (Melissa George) and father to Hugo. Cajoled by his wife into attending Hector's birthday party, Gary quickly gets irritated when talk turns to getting into the right preschool and "getting ahead." Fueled on by too many beers, he gets into a heated discussion with Harry (Zachary Quinto), ready to press charges when Harry slaps his son.
CINEMAX's THE KNICK
- Michael Nathanson has been promoted to series regular on the second season of the period drama starring Clive Owen. He plays Dr. Levi Zinberg, a brilliant surgeon and inventor who is the nemesis to Dr. John Thackery (Owen).
