Friday evening NBC has opted not to order any additional episodes of Thursday night comedies, Bad Judge and A to Z. Both series will continue to air on Thursday nights for the remainder of their 13-episode runs.
Bad Judge and A to Z debuted on NBC on Thursday, October 2 - with Bad Judge averaging 5.84 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and A to Z doing 4.79 million viewers and a 1.2 rating. Their most recent ratings (for Thursday, October 30) saw both comedies falling to series low numbers. Bad Judge did 3.90 million viewers and a 0.9 rating while A to Z had 2.49 million viewers and a 0.7 rating.
Bad Judge was created by Chad Kultgen and Anne Heche, with Betsy Thomas serving as showrunner for the majority of the series' 13 episode order. Additional executive producers include Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Chris Henchy, Jill Sobel Messick and Kate Walsh. The cast featured Kate Walsh, Ryan Hansen, John Ducey, Tone Bell and Miguel Sandoval.
A to Z was created by Ben Queen, who served as executive produce with Rashida Jones, Will McCormack, Bill Callahan and Michael Patrick Jann. The cast included Ben Feldman, Cristin Milioti, Henry Zebrowski, Lenora Crichlow, Christina Kirk, Hong Chau and Parvesh Cheena, with Katey Sagal serving as the narrator.
