NBC is the final broadcast network to hand out a full season order to one of its new fall shows - with Wednesday night dramedy The Mysteries of Laura getting the additional nine episode back order today.
In The Mysteries of Laura, Debra Messing stars as NYPD homicide detective Laura Diamond, who manages to balance her time between being a police officer and that of a harried mom with two unruly young boys.
The series also stars Josh Lucas, Laz Alonso, Janina Gavankar and Max Jenkins.
"Debra has effortlessly infused Laura with a relatability that is captivating audiences," said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. "We can't wait to see how Laura will continue to evolve throughout the entire season."
Writer Jeff Rake and directer McG serve as executive producers with Greg Berlanti, Aaron Kaplan, Todd Lituchy and Sarah Schechter. Warner Bros. Television, Berlanti Productions and Kapital Entertainment produce.
The Mysteries of Laura joins ABC's How to Get Away With Murder and black-ish; CBS' Madam Secretary, NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion and Stalker; and FOX's Gotham in getting full season pickups this fall. So far, ABC's Manhattan Love Story is the only new show to have been canceled.
