Six days after its series debut, Starz has renewed half-hour comedy Survivor's Remorse for a second season. The new season will include 10 episodes, up from the 6-episode first season.
Survivor's Remorse centers on Cam Calloway (Jesse T. Usher) and his family after he signs a pro basketball contact and moves his family to Atlanta.
The comedy stars Usher, RonReaco Lee, Erica Ash, Mike Epps, Teyonah Parris and Tichina Arnold. Mike O'Malley created the comedy and serves as executive producer alongside LeBron James, Tom Werner, Maverick Carter, Paul Wachter and Victor Levin.
"We're thrilled with the overwhelming critical acclaim Survivor's Remorse has received and we look forward to continuing our partnership with such an all-star team," said Starz CEO Chris Albrecht.
Survivor's Remorse debuted on October 4 at 9/8c. to 203,000 total viewers - down sharply from the premieres of freshman dramas Black Sails, Power and Outlander earlier this year. According to Starz, the premiere episode drew 605,000 viewers for Starz over its debut episode. Through an online preview, the debut episode had a multi-platform performance of 1.3 million viewers in its opening week.
