ABC's Cristela joins ABC's black-ish and NBC's Marry Me as the only comedies this fall to get additional episode orders - with the Cristela Alonzo-starring sitcom earning a back nine episode order tonight.
The comedy centers on the life of Cristela (Alonzo), a strong Latina woman, balancing living at her sister and brother-in-law's house and her life as an unpaid intern at a Texas law firm.
The comedy also stars Maria Canals Barrera, Carlos Ponce, Terri Hoyos, Andrew Leeds, Sam McMurray, Justine Lupe, Jacob Guenther, Isabella Day and Gabriel Iglesias.
Cristela was co-created by Alonzo and Kevin Hench, who serves as showrunner. Both serve as executive producers along with Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Shawn Levy. 20th Century Fox Television, 21 Laps-Adelstein Productions and Hench in the Trench Productions produce.
