IFC's Gigi's Bucket List; TNT's Untitled Michelle Ashford Project; and USA's Evil Men.
TNT's UNTITLED MICHELLE ASHFORD PROJECT
- Kristen Hager (Being Human), Kelsey Siepser (The Price We Pay), Adria Arjona (Narcos) and Oscar Jaenada (Cantinflas) have been cast on the drama pilot. Hager will play Luanne, a former beauty queen who is in a loveless marriage with pot runner Bobby and finds little appeal in being a mother to their 8-year-old daughter. Siepser will play Kat Wiseman, a partner in a marijuana business who is involved in a passionate and tortured affair with the married love of her life and business partner. Arjona will play Maria Zorilla, who is in love with all things American after immigrating from Colombia and is one of the most vicious drug traffickers to ever grace the Miami stage. Jaenada will play Jimeno "The Poodle" Padilla, a pot dealer-turned-cocaine trafficker.
IFC's GIGI'S BUCKET LIST
- IFC has ordered a pilot presentation for Gigi's Bucket List starring David Krumholtz (Numb3rs). The show follows 72-year-old Jewish grandmother Gigi (Krumholtz) from Boca Raton, Florida pursuing everything she deprived herself of throughout her life after discovering millions in her dead husband's bank account. Krumholtz, Ben Newmark, Dan Newmark, Ricky Mabe and Zach Golden will executive produce. Adam Bold and Mike Lopez are producers. Grandma's House Entertainment will produce.
USA's EVIL MEN
- USA has given a pilot order to supernatural drama pilot Evil Men from writer Daniel Taplitz, with Dallas Roberts (The Good Wife) and Clifton Collins Jr. (Red Widow) playing the lead roles and Gary Fleder as director. The project follows Harry Killas (Roberts), an upstanding, middle-class family man whose life is turned upside down when he is approached by a frighteningly powerful entity and commanded to kill "evil men" or see his family - along with his city - utterly destroyed. However, the gleeful psycho who is meant to be his first target, instead begins teaching him how to carry out his new destiny. Collins will play Lazlo Kirk, the profoundly evil former war criminal with magnetic charm and a deep, unpredictable violent streak, who forces himself into Harry's life on a twisted mission of personal redemption. Universal Cable Productions, CBS TV Studios and The Tannenbaum Company will produce, with Eric and Kim Tannenbaum and Mary Beth Basile as executive producers.
