TNT Renews 'Legends' for Season 2

Produced by Howard Gordon, TNT has miraculously ordered a second season of drama Legends starring Sean Bean. The new season will include 10 episodes, and will debut in 2015.

Based on the book by Robert Littell, Legends follows Martin Odum (Bean), an undercover agent working for the FBI's Deep Cover Operations (DCO) division. Martin has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a completely different person for each job. But he begins to question his own identity when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn't the man he believes himself to be.

The drama also stars Ali Larter, Morris Chestnut, Tina Majorino, Steve Harris, Amber Valletta and Mason Cook.

The series was developed by Howard Gordon, Jeffrey Nachmanoff and Mark Bomback, with Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris serving as showrunners. Additional executive producers include Jonathan Levin, David Semel, Alexander Cary and Brad Turner.

The first season of Legends averaged 3.2 million viewers in Live+7 delivery. When viewing across TNT's multiple platforms is factored in, the show's reach jumps to 6.5 million viewers through linear telecasts, DVR viewing, set-top VOD and digital on-demand.

Legend's renewal comes on the heels of TNT canceling veteran procedurals Franklin & Bash and Perception. The renewal also means TNT went three-for-three with new series debuts this past summer - with fellow newbies The Last Ship and Murder in the First previously landing renewals. They join a 2015 roster that also includes Major Crimes, the final season of Falling Skies and the debuts of new dramas Public Morals, Proof and Agent X
