HBO Renews 'Togetherness' for Season 2

This evening HBO has announced a second season renewal for comedy Togetherness. Production will begin on new episodes later this year in Los Angeles for a debut in 2016.

Togetherness follows two couples living under one roof on the fringes of Los Angeles. Brett and Michelle are struggling to rekindle the spark in their relationship, which has puttered out from the stresses of marriage and children. When Brett's friend Alex and Michelle's sister Tina move in with them, the foursome engage in a tragically comedic struggle to follow their personal dreams, while still remaining good friends, siblings and spouses to each other.

The cast includes Mark Duplass, Melanie Lynskey, Amanda Peet and Steve Zissis.

Brothers Mark and Jay Duplass co-created the series - with Steve Zissis - and serve as writers, executive producers and directors. Stephanie Langhoff is a co-executive producer. Zissis, Amanda Lasher and Caroline Williams serve as consulting producers.

"We began our love affair with HBO in our parents' living room in 1983, and to have these brilliant creative people put a ring on our fingers with a second season of Togetherness is a real-life dream come true," said Mark and Jay Duplass.
