ABC's FAMILY FORTUNE
- ABC has given a pilot order to multi-camera comedy Family Fortune starring stand-up comedian Fortune Feimster. Feimster co-wrote the pilot with Matt Hubbard. Executive producers are Hubbard, Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and David Miner. Feimster serves as co-executive producer. Universal Television, 3 Arts Entertainment and Little Stranger Productions will produce. Based on Feimster's life, the project centers on a popular gym teacher (Feimster) in Georgia who comes out of the closet to her close-knit group of family and friends. What she doesn't realize is that she will also have to deal with her bickering, happily divorced parents also "coming out" that they are sleeping together again.
ABC's UNCLE BUCK
- ABC has also ordered a pilot for multi-camera comedy Uncle Buck, a remake of the 1989 feature film of the same name. Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley wrote the pilot, and serve as executive producers with Will Packer. Korin Huggins is a co-executive producer. Universal Television, ABC Studios and Will Packer Productions will produce. The project centers on a childish man who learns how to be an adult by taking care of his brother's kids in a very childish way.
