Development News - Craig Ferguson to Topline 'The King of 7B'; Tom Ellis Books 'Lucifer' Lead; Plus 14 More Updates!

ABC's Dr. Ken, Family Fortune, Family of the YearFlesh and Blood, The King of 7B, Quantico, Runner & Untitled NBA; CBS' LFE, Supergirl & Untitled Tommy Johnagin; FOX's Lucifer & Minority Report; HBO's Untitled Sarah Silverman; and NBC's How We Live & Untitled Aseem Batra.



FOX's MINORITY REPORT
  • Stark Sands (Inside Llewyn Davis) and Meagan Good (Think Like A Man) have booked the lead roles on the drama pilot written by Max Borenstein. Sands will play the dual role of identical twin brothers Dash and Arthur, who both possess the unique ability to see into the future. Good will play Lara Vega, a detective who's not afraid to break a few rules and might help Dash find a purpose to his gift, even though she is haunted by something in her past.
ABC's FLESH AND BLOOD
  • The Newsroom vet Alison Pill has landed a regular role on the drama pilot starring Joan Allen. She will play Willa Warren, Claire's (Allen) daughter and campaign manager, who lost the twinkle in her eye many years ago when her little brother went missing and felt responsible because she was with him when he vanished.
ABC's QUANTICO
  • Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Josh Safran. She will play Alex Weaver, a brilliant but haunted FBI trainee whose past boils to the surface soon after her arrival at Quantico.
ABC's RUNNER
  • Brent Sexton (The Killing) will co-star on the drama pilot starring Paula Patton. He will play Simon, Lauren's (Patton) brother-in-law and a resourceful detective who leads the search for his brother.
ABC's DR. KEN
  • Suzy Nakamura (Go On) and Tisha Campbell-Martin (Martin) have joined the cast of the comedy pilot starring Ken Jeong. Nakamura will play Allison, Ken's (Jeong) successful psychologist wife. Campbell-Martin will play Damona, the hospital receptionist.
ABC's FAMILY FORTUNE
  • Parker Young (Suburgatory, Enlisted) has been cast on the comedy pilot starring Fortune Feimster. He will play Tyler, Fortune's (Feimster) younger brother, a serviceman in the Coast Guard.
HBO's UNTITLED SARAH SILVERMAN PROJECT
  • Jack Davenport (Smash), Kerri Kenney (Reno 911!) and Mark Cohen have boarded the comedy pilot starring Sarah Silverman. Davenport will play Blake, a broken Brit and eventual boyfriend who gets caught up in his own virtual reality in Seattle. Kenney will play Melissa, Jude's (Silverman) older sister who is proudly holding the family together, with no idea her home is built on lies. Cohen will play Jude's big-hearted mess of a brother-in-law.
NBC's UNTITLED ASEEM BATRA PROJECT
  • Michael Cassidy (Men at Work) is set as one of the two leads on the comedy pilot written by Aseem Batra. He will play Dale, whose relationship with best friend Georgie is upended when he starts dating the "perfect" woman.
NBC's HOW WE LIVE
  • Being Human star Sam Huntington has been cast as the male lead on the comedy pilot written by Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley. He will play Russell, a blogger who moves with his wife to the suburbs and begins writing about marriage and the family lives of his suburban friends and neighbors, in the style of an anthropologist who's stumbled on an undiscovered tribe.
FOX's LUCIFER
  • Tom Ellis (Rush, Once Upon a Time) has been tapped to play the title character on the drama pilot written by Tom Kapinos. He will play Lucifer, who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.
CBS' SUPERGIRL
  • Helen Slater (1984's Supergirl) and Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) have landed guest-starring roles on the drama pilot. Details on who they will be playing are being kept under wraps. Feel free to speculate!
ABC's FAMILY OF THE YEAR
  • Newcomer Noah Galvin has booked the young lead role on the comedy pilot written by David Windsor and Casey Johnson. He will play Kenny O'Neal, the youngest son who comes out of the closet which forces the family to see that they aren't perfect.
CBS' LFE
  • Annie Funke (The Affair) has joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Paul Downs Colaizzo. She will play Chelsi, a genius resident who works in the hospital's internal wing.
ABC's THE KING OF 7B
  • Craig Ferguson (The Late Late Show) has been cast in the lead role on the comedy pilot written by Howard Franklin. Also joining the pilot today are Carla Jiminez and Kirby Howell-Baptiste. Ferguson will play Prentiss Porter, an agoraphobic recluse who ventures outside for the first time in 11 years when he spies what could be his soulmate moving into the building across the street. Jiminez will play Juana, Prentiss' housekeeper. Howell-Baptiste will play Greta, who delivers art to Prentiss.
CBS' UNTITLED TOMMY JOHNAGIN PROJECT
  • JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Reba, Astronaut Wives Club) has been cast as the female lead on the comedy pilot written by and starring Tommy Johnagin. She will play Michelle, an accomplished pediatrician married to Tommy (Johnagin), with whom she has a daughter, Ashley.
ABC's UNTITLED NBA PROJECT
  • Ving Rhames (Mission Impossible, Monday Mornings) will co-star on the comedy pilot starring Skylar Astin and Blondy Baruti. He will play the team's confident and smooth general manager.
