FXX has renewed comedy Man Seeking Woman starring Jay Baruchel for a second season. Production on 10 new episodes of the Simon Rich-created series will begin later this year for a debut in 2016.
Based on Rich's book of short stories, "The Last Girlfriend on Earth," Man Seeking Woman focuses on a guy (Baruchel) unlikely in love as he searches for the perfect woman through sweet and surreal adventures.
"Working on Man Seeking Woman has been the creative highlight of my life," said Rich. "FXX gave us the freedom to make the show we love and they let us build some truly disgusting monsters. I'm so grateful to John Landgraf and his team for believing in us and I can't wait to get back to work."
Rich executive produces the comedy with Jonathan Krisel, Lorne Michaels and Andrew Singer. FX Productions and Broadway Video produce. The cast also includes Eric André, Britt Lower and Maya Erskine.
