A few days after wrapping its second season, HBO has opted not to order a third season of the dramedy Looking starring Jonathan Groff. The premium cable network will, however, wrap the series' storylines with a movie special.
"After two years of following Patrick and his tight-knit group of friends as they explored San Francisco in search of love and lasting relationships, HBO will present the final chapter of their journey as a special," HBO said in a statement. "We look forward to sharing this adventure with the show's loyal fans."
The cast includes Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Alvarez, Murray Bartlett, Lauren Weedman, Russell Tovey and Raúl Castillo. The series was created by Michael Lannan and Andrew Haigh.
The second season concluded with Patrick (Groff) unsure about the future of his relationship with his boyfriend Kevin (Tovey), and ending up at Richie's (Castillo) job getting a hair cut; Dom (Bartlett) realizing he needs to handle his new chicken window by himself, while Doris (Weedman) tries to commit more to her boyfriend, Malik (Bashir Salahuddin); and Agustin (Alvarez) being happy in his new relationship with Eddie (Daniel Franzese).
