CBS' THE HALF OF IT
- Comedian Beth Hoyt (Inside Amy Schumer) has been cast on the comedy pilot starring Jon Dore. She will play Julie, Mike's (Dore) very platonic best friend and a true cheerleader in his new life.
AMC's PREACHER
- True Blood alum Lucy Griffiths has joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Sam Catlin. She will play Emily Woodrow, a no-nonsense single mother of three. Emily's a waitress, the church organist, a bookkeeper and Jesse's loyal right hand. Stoic and strong, wise beyond her years, she can't help but have a little thing for Preacher Jesse.
ABC FAMILY's GORGEOUS MORONS
- ABC Family has ordered a pilot for multi-camera comedy Gorgeous Morons written by Danny Chun. Executive producers are Chun, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. The project focuses on two stunningly handsome but ridiculously simple brothers - one is a model, the other a personal trainer - who find their lives rocked by their brainy new roommate, a female literature PhD whose looks are, by their standard, in desperate need of help.
ABC FAMILY's BEYOND
- ABC Family has also given a pilot order to drama Beyond written by Adam Nussdorf. Executive producers are Nussdorf, Tim Kring, Zak Kadison, Justin Levy and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. The project centers on a young man who wakes up from a coma after 12 years and discovers new supernatural abilities that propel him into the middle of a dangerous conspiracy. Imperative Entertainment and Automatik will produce.
