This afternoon Netflix has given a fourth season renewal to drama House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. The drama will go back into production this summer for a debut in 2016.
Based on the BBC miniseries of the same name, House of Cards stars Spacey and Wright as Washington, D.C. power couple Frank and Claire Underwood - who in the recent third season had risen to the office of President of the United States.
The cast for the third season also included Michael Kelly, Elizabeth Marvel, Mahershala Ali, Derek Cecil, Nathan Darrow, Molly Parker, Jimmi Simpson, Kim Dickens, Jayne Atkinson and Lars Mikkelsen.
Beau Willimon serves as showrunner, and also executive produces with Spacey, David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Eric Roth, Dana Brunetti, Andrew Davies and Michael Dobbs. The drama is produced by Trigger Street Productions and Media Rights Capital.
