This afternoon TNT unveiled its upcoming summer lineup - setting premiere dates for returning dramas The Last Ship, Rizzoli & Isles, Major Crimes, Murder in the First, Legends and Falling Skies as well as new dramas Proof and Public Morals.
Kicking things off on Monday, June 8, Major Crimes will launch its fourth season at 9/8c. The cast includes Mary McDonnell, G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Kearran Giovanni, Phillip P. Keene, Robert Gossett, Jonathan Del Arco and Graham Patrick. Major Crimes is produced by The Shephard/Robin Company and Walking Entropy, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television. James Duff, Greer Shephard, Michael M. Robin, Rick Wallace, Adam Belanoff and Leo Geter serve as executive producers.
Also debuting on June 8 will be the second season of Murder in the First at 10/9c. Returning series regulars include Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson, Raphael Sbarge, Lombardo Boyar, Ian Anthony Dale, Currie Graham and Mimi Kirkland. Joining the cast this season are A.J. Buckley, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Laila Robins, Mo McRae, Mateus Ward and John Cothran. Murder in the First is produced by TNT Originals, with Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal serving as executive producers.
Rizzoli & Isles will kick off its sixth season on Tuesday, June 16 at 9/8c. The drama stars Angie Harmon, Sasha Alexander, Jordan Bridges, Idara Victor, Bruce McGill and Lorraine Bracco. Rizzoli & Isles is produced by Warner Horizon Television and Ostar Productions, with Bill Haber and Jan Nash serving as executive producers.
Leading out of Rizzoli & Isles will be the series debut of new supernatural medical drama Proof. The drama stars Jennifer Beals, Matthew Modine, David Sutcliffe, Joe Morton, Callum Blue, Edi Gathegi, Annie Thurman and Caroline Rose Kaplan. Proof is produced by TNT Originals, with executive producers including Kyra Sedgwick, Rob Bragin, Tom Jacobson, Jill Littman and Alex Graves.
Last year's #1 new basic cable series, The Last Ship, will return for its second season on Sunday, June 21 at 9/8c. with a special two-hour premiere. The drama stars Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra, Adam Baldwin, Travis Van Winkle, Charles Parnell, Christina Elmore, Marissa Neitling, John Pyper Ferguson and Jocko Sims, with Alfre Woodard set to appear in multiple episodes of the new season. The Last Ship is produced by Platinum Dunes, with executive producers including Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Hank Steinberg, Steven Kane and Jack Bender.
The fifth and final season of Falling Skies will debut on Sunday, June 28 at 10/9c. The cast includes Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Connor Jessup, Maxim Knight, Colin Cunningham, Sarah Carter, Mpho Koaho and Doug Jones. Falling Skies is produced by Amblin Television. Steve Spielberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and David Eick serve as executive producers.
Moving later into the summer, Legends will return for its second season on Tuesday, August 25 at 10/9c. Sean Bean is the only returning cast member the network confirmed in this afternoon's press release. Legends is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios, with Howard Gordon and Ken Biller serving as executive producers.
And finally, new period drama Public Morals created by and starring Edward Burns will makes its series debut on Monday, August 17 at 9/8c. The cast also includes Michael Rapaport, Elizabeth Masucci, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Wass Stevens, Keith Nobbs, Austin Stowell, Patrick Murney, Katrina Bowden, Lyndon Smith, Brian Wiles and Cormac Cullinane, with guest stars Timothy Hutton, Brian Dennehy, Neal McDonough and Robert Knepper. Public Morals is produced by Amblin Television. Aaron Lubin, Steven Spielberg, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank are executive producers.
