ABC's OIL
- The upcoming fall drama is recasting the roles played in the original pilot by Caitlin Carver and Yani Gellman. Carver played Lacy Boyd, Hap's (Don Johnson) youngest daughter. Gellman played A.J., Menendez, Hap's personal driver, Lacey's clandestine lover and a spy for the reigning family of Saudi Arabia.
NETFLIX's THE GET DOWN
- Emmy winner Jimmy Smits (L.A. Law, NYPD Blue) has been cast in a lead role on the upcoming drama created by Baz Luhrmann. He will play Francisco Cruz, aka "Papa Fuerte," a South Bronx political boss who delivers services the City fails to provide - jobs, housing, healthcare, etc. A big man with brass, he navigates downtown politics the same way he handles his uptown turf - with ease and a touch of deception. Whether it's his niece's desire for disco stardom or a recent immigrant's struggles to grab a hold of the American dream, if you want something in the neighborhood, you come to Papa Fuerte.
HBO's LEWIS AND CLARK
- Tanaya Beatty, Stephen Hill, Creed Garnick and Aidan Kahn have joined the cast of the upcoming miniseries starring Casey Affleck and Matthias Schoenaerts. Beatty will play Sacagawea, a young woman from the Lemhi-Shoshone tribe who became an interpreter for the expedition. Hill will play York, William Clark's (Schoenaerts) life-long slave companion and a member of the expedition. Garnick and Kahn will play other members of the Corps of Discovery.
ABC FAMILY's SWITCHED AT BIRTH
- John Michael Higgins (Pitch Perfect 2) and Paula Marshall (Gary Unmarried) will appear on an upcoming episode of the drama's fourth season. They will play the parents of Daphne's (Katie Leclerc) boyfriend, Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch). In the episode, Daphne and Mingo plan for their parents to meet each other, only for it be revolved that they have a history.
HALLMARK's CEDAR COVE
- The hit drama series starring Andie MacDowell and Dylan Neal will return for its third season on Saturday, July 18 at 8/7c.
SHOWTIME's THE AFFAIR
- Richard Schiff (The West Wing) and Joanna Gleason (Love & War) have landed recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Schiff will play Jon Gottlief, a high-profile city attorney who has been Bruce Butler's (John Doman) longtime family lawyer. Gleason will play Yvonne, the editor-in-chief of a prestigious publishing company who has a connection to Noah (Dominic West).
SHOWTIME's RAY DONOVAN
- Stephanie Erb (Weeds) will appear in at least three episodes of the drama's upcoming third season. She will play Helen Miller, the head of the Fish and Game Department.
NETFLIX's LONGMIRE
- Ally Walker (Profiler, Sons of Anarchy) has booked a major recurring role on the revived drama's upcoming fourth season. No details were immediately made available about the character she will be playing or how many episodes she will be in.
