CBS Cancels 'Battle Creek,' 'The McCarthys' & 'Stalker'

Earlier today CBS made several new series pickups. And now, the network is starting to determine the fates of its current programs still on the bubble. The list of shows being cancelled right now includes Battle Creek, The McCarthys and Stalker.

Low ratings are to blame for all three shows cancellations this evening. Battle Creek debuted to only a 1.0 rating and has slipped since then. Stalker returned to a series low last Monday night following a months-long hiatus. The McCarthys was actually pulled from the schedule indefinitely back in late January with 4 episodes left unaired.

The cancellation of Stalker means that series creator Kevin Williamson has lost his two most recent series creations (alongside FOX's The Following) in the same day. There's talk of the FOX drama being shopped to other networks, but things aren't as optimistic for Stalker.
