MTV's FANCY BASTARDS
- The cable network has ordered a pilot presentation for animated comedy Fancy Bastards written by Price Peterson, Ryan Sandoval and Lily Sparks. Additional executive producers are Jason Micallef, Kristen Schaal, Josh Turner McGuire and Trevor Engelson. Titmouse Inc. and Underground Entertainment will produce. The project centers on a small town that is shocked to learn its five most awkward outcasts all share the same father - a notorious ginger cad who had an indiscretion filled night during a whirlwind visit to Vegas nine years ago... and who just happens to be a prince. The misfits turn into royal rock stars overnight, but soon find that the "Fancy Bastard" life is no fairytale. The voice cast includes Brittany Snow, Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, Natasha Leggero, Nasim Pedrad, John Roberts, Jameeliah Garrett and Jessica Lowe.
MTV's KEN JEONG MADE ME DO IT
- The cable network has been forced to pass on the comedy pilot - considering Ken Jeong and co-star Justin Hires were both cast in first position on projects that got ordered to series for the broadcast networks this year (ABC's Dr. Ken for Jeong & CBS's Rush Hour for Hires). The pilot was written by Andy St. Clair & Paul O'Toole and directed by Peter Segal. The cast also included Marshall Allman and Bonnie Dennison.
