NBC was the first of the broadcast networks to pick up the first of its pilots to series last week. It's also the first network unveiling its schedule at the Upfronts next week. This afternoon NBC continued handling out new series orders - to comedies Crowded, People Are Talking and Superstore.
The pickups for Crowded, People Are Talking and Superstore marks NBC's first comedy series orders from the traditional pilots for the upcoming 2015-16 season. They join straight-to-series orders for Telenovela starring Eva Longoria and the Coach revival starring Craig T. Nelson. The orders also join last week's new additions Blindspot, Chicago Med and Heartbreaker.
Here are the descriptions for the three new comedies:

PEOPLE ARE TALKING centers on two diverse couples who are both neighbors and best friends. As they go through life side-by-side, they can't help but analyze and obsess about everything. From topics like sex and race, to the fact that the trusted new babysitter might just be a porn star, nothing is out of bounds for this wildly outspoken foursome.
The cast includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tone Bell, Bresha Webb and Meaghan Rath.
DJ Nash wrote the pilot, and executive produces with Will Packer and Korin Huggins. Pam Fryman directed the pilot. Universal Television and Will Packer Productions produce.
CROWDED - After 20 years of parenting, empty nesters Mike (Patrick Warburton) and Martina (Carrie Preston) are finally reclaiming their wide sides. Yet when both of their two grown daughters unexpectedly move back in, and Mike's parents scratch their plans to spend their golden years in Florida, their roost is full again. This new family comedy proves that life is crazy with a full house, especially the second time around.
Stacy Keach, Carlease Burke, Mia Serafino and Miranda Cosgrove co-star on the comedy.
Suzanne Martin wrote the pilot, and executive produces with Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner. James Burrows directed the pilot. Crowded is produced by Universal Television and Hazy Mills Productions.
SUPERSTORE - America Ferrara and Ben Feldman star in this hilarious workplace comedy about a unique family of employees at a super-sized megastore. From the bright-eyed newbies and the seen-it-all veterans to the clueless summer hires and in-it-for-life managers, together they hilariously tackle the day-to-day grind of rabid bargain hunters, riot-causing sales and nap-worthy training sessions.
The cast also includes Mark McKinney, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nichole Bloom and Nico Santos.
Justin Spitzer wrote the pilot, and executive produces with David Bernad and director Ruben Fleischer. Superstore is produced by Universal Television and the District.
