ABC FAMILY's BEYOND
- Callan McAuliffe, Jordan Calloway, Dilan Gwyn, Romy Rosemont, Michael McGrady and Burkely Duffield have been cast on the drama pilot written by Adam Nussdorf. McAuliffe will play Holden, who wakes up in a hospital not realizing he's been in a coma for 12 years - emotionally still a teenager, physically an adult, and possibly in possession of supernatural powers. Calloway will play Kevin, Holden's childhood best friend, now a therapist, who is haunted by guilt after the incident that put Holden in a coma. Gwyn will play Willa, a beautiful woman who appears to be interested in Holden and who warns him he is in great danger. Rosemont will play Diane, Holden's mother who has refused to give up on him throughout his coma and now is determined to protect him. McGrady will play Tom, Holden's father who is emotionally withdrawn after his son's ordeal and defers to his wife. Duffield will play Luke, Holden's clever younger brother who grew up in the shadow of his brother's tragedy and is now faced with a brother who knows less about the world than he does.
AMAZON's ZELDA
- The online streaming service has given a pilot order to period drama Zelda starring and executive produced by Christina Ricci. Additionally executive producers include Christine Vachon, Dawn Prestwich, Nicole Yorkin and Pam Koffler. Tim Blake Nelson will direct. The project focuses on American novelist Zelda Fitzgerald (Ricci), who also happens to be the wife and frequent inspiration of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald.
