Development News - July 13, 2015

Amazon's The Good Girls Revolt; TNT's Good Behavior; and TV Land's I Shudder.

TNT's GOOD BEHAVIOR
  • Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery has been tapped to star in the drama pilot Good Behavior - which just received an official pilot pickup with her casting. The pilot is written by Chad Hodge. Based on the Letty Dobesh books by Blake Crouch, Dockery stars as Letty Dobesh, a thief and con-artist whose life is always one wrong turn, one bad decision from implosion - which is just how she likes it. Fresh out of prison, Letty is attempting to stay afloat - but when she overhears a hitman being hired to kill a man's wife, she sets out to derail the job, setting her on a collision course with the killer and entangling them in a dangerous and seductive relationship.
TV LAND's I SHUDDER
  • Hamish Linklater (The Crazy Ones, The Newsroom) has been cast in the lead role on comedy I Shudder - which was officially ordered to pilot with his casting. The pilot was written by Paul Rudnick, who executive produces with Dan Jinks. CBS Television Studios and Dan Jinks Company will produce. The project centers on Elyot Vionnet (Linklater), an advocate of manners, style and most importantly, common decency. Observing people committing heinous crimes of etiquette, he tries to counsel them from afar, inserting himself into their lives in a rather unwelcome fashion. When the individuals he deems classless choose not to take his advice, they are met with terrible consequences. In the midst of his mission, Elyot allies himself with his neighbor, an 11-year-old girl named Stella, to try to make the world better, one tactless person at a time.
AMAZON's THE GOOD GIRLS REVOLT
  • Anna Camp (True Blood) and Genevieve Angelson (Backstrom) have been cast in lead roles on the drama pilot written by Dana Calvo. Camp will play Jane, a highly skilled, couture wearing and straight arrow star research at Newsweek in the 1970s. Angelson will play Patti, a wild-haired tenacious researcher and an adventurous flower child who just came back to New York after a transformative six months in San Francisco.
