Hallmark has given a third season renewal to original drama series When Calls the Heart, it was announced this morning. The new season will include 10 episodes and debut in 2016.
Based on the bestselling series of books of the same name by Janette Oke, When Calls the Heart tells the story of a young woman (Erin Krakow) who begins a new chapter in her life in an early 20th century coal mining town.
The cast also includes Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, Chelah Horsdal, Martin Cummins, Jack Wagner, Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith.
Michael Landon Jr. developed the series and serves as executive producer, alongside Brad Krevoy, Tony Blake, Robin Bernheim, Brian Bird and Michael Shepard. Believe Pictures and Brad Krevoy Television produce.
