During the show's panel at Comic-Con, executive producer Jamie Paglia announced that MTV has renewed the original drama series Scream for a second season. The news comes a day after a renewal was also announced for veteran show Teen Wolf.
Based on the hit film franchise of the same name, Scream made its debut on MTV on Tuesday, June 29 to 1.026 million total viewers and a 0.45 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic.
The cast includes Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, John Karna, Amadeus Serafini, Connor Weil, Carlson Young, Jason Wiles and Tracy Middendorf.
The series was created by Jill Blotevogel, Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie, with Blotevogel and Paglia serving as co-showrunners for the first season. Additional executive producers include Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Wes Craven, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Konrad.
