NETFLIX's LUKE CAGE
- Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Alfre Woodard is in final negotiations to play a pivotal role on the upcoming drama starring Mike Colter. She will play Minetta, a powerful woman in local politics who will have an impact on Luke Cage's (Colter) life. The character may or may not be a version of the Marvel villain Black Mariah.
FOX's THE GRINDER
- Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage, Murder in the First) will appear in two episodes of the upcoming comedy series. She will play Addison Cross, an actress who co-starred as Dean's (Rob Lowe) love interest on his long-running legal procedural.
ABC's BLACK-ISH
- America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks will guest star on an upcoming episode of the comedy's second season. She will play a version of herself who also happens to be best friends from childhood with Dre (Anthony Anderson).
FOX's SLEEPY HOLLOW
- After previously being announced in recurring roles, Lance Gross and Zach Appelman have been upped to series regulars for the drama's upcoming third season. Gross plays Daniel Reynolds, the FBI Special Agent in Charge and Abbie's new boss. Appelman plays Joe Corbin, August's (Clancy Brown) son who joins forces with Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) to look into his father's work.
CBS' THE BIG BANG THEORY
- Laurie Metcalf and Keith Carradine will reprise their roles as Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) mother and Penny's (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) father on the comedy's upcoming ninth season. Metcalf will return in the season premiere. Carradine will pop up in episode three.
NBC's THE PLAYER
- Daisy Betts (Last Resort, Chicago Fire) has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama series. She will play Ginny, Alex's (Philip Winchester) ex-wife, a hardworking surgeon who is presumed dead. She replaces Cara Buono who played the role in the original pilot.
ABC's BLOOD & OIL
- Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie, Astronaut Wives Club) has joined the upcoming drama series in a recurring role. He will play Finn, a charismatic but poor businessman who owns a food truck and partners with Kess (Keston John) and Ada (Yaani King).
MTV's FINDING CARTER
- Jackson Rathbone (Twilight) has been cast in a major recurring role on the drama's second season. He will play Jared, a charismatic guy with a good business sense. His core values waiver when he falls for an underaged teen and engages in shady business practices.
NBC's SHADES OF BLUE
- Antonio Jaramillo (Savages, Dallas) has landed a recurring role on the upcoming drama series starring Jennifer Lopez. He will play Miguel Zepeda, an ex-boyfriend of Harlee Santos (Lopez).
FOX's EMPIRE
- Mo McRae (Murder in the First, Sons of Anarchy) will appear in at least three episodes of the drama's upcoming second season. He will play J-Poppa, a handsome and easygoing guy who starts seeing Becky (Gabourey Sidibe) and develops a connection with Andre (Trai Byers).
