Comedy Central has renewed its original scripted series Another Period for a second season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Original Programming, Comedy Central. The second season will premiere 10 episodes in 2016.
Another Period is executive produced by co-creators and co-stars Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome, director Jeremy Konner and Red Hour's Ben Stiller, Debbie Liebling, Stuart Cornfeld and Mike Rosenstein.
"Another Period is a beautiful reflection of a great American truth: the more things change, the more they stay the same," said Alterman.
"We are thrilled that Comedy Central has such good taste, added Leggero and Lindhome.
Another Period centers on the Bellacourt sisters, Lillian (Leggero) and Beatrice (Lindhome), who only care about being rich and becoming super famous - which is a lot harder in 1902.
The cast also features Lauren Ash, Michael Ian Black, Paget Brewster, Beth Dover, Brett Gelman, Christina Hendricks, Brian Huskey, David Koechner, Jason Ritter, David Wain and Armen Weitzman.
Guest stars in the first season include Matt Besser, Jack Black, Jon Daly, John Ennis, Kate Flanney, Rich Fulcher, Tim Heidecker, Moshe Kasher, Lauren Lapkus, Thomas Lennon, Kate Micucci, Chris Parnell, Lou Diamond Phillips, Missi Pyle, Will Sasso, Betsy Sodaro, Shoshannah Stern, Ben Stiller, Stephen Tobolowsky and Brian White.
