TNT's ANIMAL KINGDOM
- Daniella Alonso (Revolution, The Night Shift) has been cast on the drama pilot starring Ellen Barkin and Scott Speedman. She will play Catherine, Baz's (Speedman) wife and the mother to their 3-year-old daughter, Lena.
HBO's INSECURE
- Jay Ellis (The Game) and Yvonne Orji (Basketball Wife) have joined the cast of the comedy pilot written by and starring Issa Rae. Ellis will play Lawrence, Issa's (Rae) depressed and unemployed boyfriend who has been getting his act together for four years. Orji will play Molly, Issa's best friend, who is very successful in her corporate work life but very unsuccessful in her love life.
AMAZON's TRIAL
- William Hurt (Damages, Humans) will co-star opposite Billy Bob Thornton on the drama pilot written by David E. Kelley. He will play Donald Cooper, a ruthless and cold attorney. He is Billy's (Thornton) former partner who effectively ruined Billy's career, so there's plenty of bad blood between the two. When Cooper discovers that Billy is working on a case against one of his firm's clients, he's prepared to take him down.
CBS' DOUBT
- Grey's Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl has been tapped to replace KaDee Strickland as the new female lead on the drama pilot - which is being completely reshot this fall. She will play Sadie, a smart, chic, successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm who shockingly gets romantically involved with one of her clients who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.
