Netflix Renews 'Sense8' for Season 2

Netflix has renewed its original drama series Sense8 for a second season, it was announced today in a video message from the cast posted on Twitter. It's currently unclear how many episodes the new season will have and when it will debut on the online streaming service.





The series revolves around eight strangers from different parts of the world who suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked.

The cast includes Aml Ameen, Bae Doona, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Max Riemelt, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Freema Agyeman, Anupam Kher, Terrence Mann, Naveen Andrews and Daryl Hannah.

The drama was created by Andy & Lana Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski. The first season included 12 episodes and debuted on June 5, 2015.

The series was filmed on location in Chicago (USA), San Francisco (USA), London (UK), Berlin (Germany), Reykjavik (Iceland), Seoul (South Korea), Mexico City (Mexico), Nairobi (Kenya) and Mumbai (India). Directors for the first season were the Wachowskis, Tom Tykwer, James McTeigue and Dan Glass.
