TV continues its support for its new slate of single camera comedies by handing season two renewals to both The Jim Gaffigan Show and Impastor. Both will return with new episodes in 2016.
Neither comedies have had breakout success for the cable network as its undergoing a rebranding. But the network also notes in its renewal press release that "The Jim Gaffigan Show draws an average of 4.0 million viewers for premiere nights on TV Land and Nick at Nite, while Impastor gets an average of 2.8 million viewers."
"We're really proud of these shows that represent the new TV Land," said Keith Cox, Executive Vice President, TV Land. "They have quality writing and great casts, and we're excited to move on to season two for both."
The Jim Gaffigan Show was created by Jim Gaffigan, Jeannie Gaffigan and Peter Tolan. The cast includes Jim Gaffigan, Ashley Williams, Adam Goldberg, Michael Ian Black and Tongayi Chirisi.
Impastor was created by Christopher Vane. The cast features Michael Rosenbaum, Sara Rue, David Rasche, Mircea Monroe, Mike Kosinski and Aimee Garcia.
