USA Cancels 'Complications' After One Season

USA has opted not to order any additional episodes of the original drama series Complications, it was announced today. The show created by Matt Nix ended its 10-episode first season on August 13.

The drama starred Jason O'Mara as Dr. John Ellison, a disillusioned physician coping with his daughter's death who is then dragged into the world of crime after he intervenes in a drive-by shooting.

The cast also featured Jessica Szohr, Beth Riesgraf, Chris Chalk and Lauren Stamile.

Sources say the drama was cancelled because USA wasn't the studio who produced it - that honor goes to Fox 21 Television Studios - as well as a strong upcoming slate of dramas that includes Colony and Queen of the South.

USA still has to make renewal decisions on Graceland and Playing House, while Royal Pains, Suits and Mr. Robot have already been picked up for additional seasons.
