TNT has opted not to order any additional episodes of drama series Proof starring Jennifer Beals and executive produced by Kyra Sedgwick. The drama wrapped its 10-episode run on August 18.
Proof followed Dr. Carolyn Tyler (Beals) on a journey toward answering one of life's greatest mysteries: Is there life after death? A highly trained surgeon, skeptic and believer in hard science, Dr. Tyler is challenged by an eccentric and terminally ill billionaire (Matthew Modine) to prove whether there is an afterlife.
The cast also featured David Sutcliffe, Edi Gathegi, Caroline Rose Kaplan, Callum Blue, Annie Thurman and Joe Morton.
Rob Bragin created the series, and executive produced with Sedgwick, Tom Jacobson, Jill Littman and Alex Graves. TNT Original Productions produced.
The series premiered to 2.66 million viewers in Live+Same Day numbers and only dipped to 2.12 million viewers for its finale. However, the series skewed very old - something the network is trying to move away from as it rebrands under new leadership from Kevin Reilly.
