Entertainment One and ABC have opted to cancel the veteran summer drama Rookie Blue after six seasons, it was announced today. The Canadian import aired its final episode stateside on September 3. The drama produced 74 total episodes.
"On behalf of the whole Rookie Blue family, thank you to all the fans for your dedication over the last six years," said series creator Ilana Frank in a statement.
The drama followed the lives of five rookie cops as they worked out of 15 Division. Over the years, the cast featured Missy Peregrym, Travis Milne, Charlotte Sullivan, Priscilla Faia, Peter Mooney, Enuka Okuma, Gregory Smith, Ben Bass, Adam MacDonald, Rachael Ancheril, Eric Johnson, Noam Jenkins, Melanie Nicholls-King, Lyriq Bent and Matt Gordon.
Frank, Tassie Cameron, Russ Cochrane, David Wellington and John Morayniss were executive producers. IFC Films produced the series with eOne.
